Friday 26th August Kia ora whanau, Please see attached results of the TKKM o Taumārere Parent/Teacher elections. As per the Returning Officer Handbook 2022, pg 13, this has been a non-voting election. This is due to five positions being available, but only three nominations received. For voting to take place five valid nominations needed to be submitted. Two additional nominations were received but deemed invalid as they weren’t signed by the candidate. Elected board members take office seven days after nominations close – in this case, Friday 26 th August. Parent elect members: Tiakina Milne, Amy Armstrong, Jayme Armstrong. Staff elect member: Judy Waiomio.

School daily structure change for the rest of Term 1 Our kura will be adopting a new daily structure that is designed to limit the spread of Covid-19 in our kura and ensure that we are able to remain open even with confirmed cases in our school community. Please have a read through of the document and if you have any feedback, questions or concerns about our plan, please contact the kura. School Reopening date: Due to the change of our daily structure, we will be reopening on WEDNESDAY 9th of FEBRUARY, 2022 with Te Kākārauri in school for onsite instruction and Te Ata Hāpara at home on distance learning (refer to the School Structure doc for clarification) . Contact Information UPDATE: We need to make sure that we have up to date contact information for our whānau. Therefore, if you have changed your phone number, email address or home address, please let us know as soon as possible. Whānau communication: We will be sending regular whānau updates regarding our Covid-19 response plan, in-school and out of school activities via letters home, email and our school Facebook page. Please make sure that you check these regularly to ensure that you are up to date with what is happening at our kura. School Facebook Page This is our current Facebook page - please make sure that you LIKE the page to keep up to date with kura happenings. School Website Development We are currently developing our school website. We will use it as the main source of information for our kura. We anticipate that it should be ready by the end of the term and that whānau will be able to interact with it by the beginning of Term 2. We will keep you updated.
